| I'm looking for average ballpark prices for getting a Z32 repainted... The other day (Friday) when it was nice here in Denver, I took my Z around to three pretty well known body shops here for a (very) rough estimate and here's what I received: Here's what I requested and am supplying: Supplied to body shop: New OEM front bumper New T-top finisher New T-top ends (black plastic pieces) All new trim (KuramaZ) New OEM driver/pass side window seals Center nose panel new OEM seals Shave rear wiper hole (weld/build up) Shave rear antenna hole (weld, build up) Paint roof black Repaint car OEM superwhite (have to strip entirely because it was "repainted" once and done very crappily), so there are two layers of paint already on it (and 2 diff colors...OEM color and a darker white) (remove hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, t tops for repaint) It has some body damage on the pass door from being backed into in a parking lot, and a little over the driver rear 1/4 panel, as well as a NUMBER of small dents in it. The three quotes I received were: $3300, $4000, and $5200. Is this about normal? I'm budgeting around $5000 for an out the door paint job because of this, but for some reason this sounds high. I haven't had any body work done since I had my 1990 Maxima repainted back in 1997. (11 years ago) and that was only like $1700 and it is "similar" to this in what is/was being done. Thanks in advance guys. I just want make sure I'm not getting hosed here.
